As a Young person

Becoming a member of 1st Hatherley Scout Group is simple.  All you have to do is email frank@hatherleyscouts.org.uk and ask for details.  All sections currently meet  at 1st Hatherley Scout HQ on Penrith Road in Hatherley.  Membership is currently £28 a term.  The Different Sections are:

Beavers

Beavers are 6 to 8 years old and we have two colonies which meet on a Tuesday and Thursday.

Cubs

Cubs are aged between 8 and 10.5 years old and we have three packs which meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Scouts

Scouts are aged between 10.5 and 14 and we have two troops which meet on a Tuesday and Thursday.

As a leader

1st Hatherley is always on the look out for motivated people to become leaders or to help out in any other role from being on a committee or fund raising.  Very good training is provided by the district.

As a committee member

A scout group is run by a committee which is responsible for fund raising.  Committee members are non uniformed.  There is loads of training available to give you the skills.
